It’s getting hot here in CO. It went from cold to hot. I guess we did have a few nice days but they were short-lived. Winter straight to Summer. During the Winter I was working out in our apartment. (Still am actually) I enjoy working out outside but it was too cold for me. I don’t like workout videos. I like to do my own thing.
What I Do
My at-home workout consists of stairs, jump rope, squats, and side leg raises.
Stairs: I run up and down our 16 steps 10 times.
Jump Rope: I jump rope in our garage for 1 minute. Rest for 30 secs and repeat 4 more times.
Squats: I do 50 squats
Side Leg Raises: I do 30 side leg raises per leg. Some call it side leg raises some call it side-lying leg lift.
I don’t do a lot but it’s enough to get my heart rate up. I didn’t look up a workout plan I just picked some things that I wanted to do. I try to workout at 6:30 am to get it done before the kids get up and to start my day. Plus working out gets me in a better mood. While I’m typing this, I realized that my exercise routine is for my lower body. In my family, I’ve noticed that the women’s thighs, hips, and booty POP. lol I’m cool with that but I want mine to be tone and not popping too much. 🙂
A little exercise is better than none in my book. PLUS it doesn’t take me long. Sometimes I hear people use the excuse that they don’t have time. As I always say, “You make time for things that are important to you.” Stop making excuses and get up and get moving!!
Other ways that I enjoy exercising are cycling, hiking, and walking. Plus I have a 5 and 7-year-old, they will pick some silly game for us to play that has me running around. I get my share of exercise daily. 🙂
