My son is at the age where he wants to have input with his birthday. This year he told me he wanted a Paw Patrol party. My kids’ birthdays are two weeks apart. My son turned four and my daughter turned two this year. At first, I thought I would give them their own party so it could be “theirs”. Then a friend suggested a joint party. DUH!! Both of them love Paw Patrol. We watch it EVERYDAY during lunch. Plus both of them have the same friends.
This is going to sound funny but the majority of my friends and I were pregnant at the same time. We didn’t plan it. We all have 4 and 2-year-olds a few months apart. If I would have done individual parties I would have been inviting the same people over two weeks in a row. So, Joint Party!
A week before the party one of my friends asked if I was ready. I told her I had to make a couple more things. She then asked, “Are you a Pinterest mom?” I laughed and answered “Kinda”. I love themed parties and I’m a DIYer. I made signs for games, printed food labels with Paw Patrol characters on them, cut sandwiches into bones, made cupcakes, printed Paw Patrol masks for photos and made sponge water balls (instead of using water balloons).
We had the kids’ party on a Sunday morning at our community kiddie pool. It turned out great and everyone had a great time! My husband and brother-in-law were our photographers. I don’t have as many “detailed” pictures as I wanted for this post but I still wanted to share because Paw Patrol and birthdays are AWESOME! No job is too big, no pup is too small. (You’ll only get that if you’re a Paw Patrol fan. )
Any of you do theme birthday parties? Are you a Pinterest mom?
I’m a great big fan of my Paw Patrol grands!!
I’m so sad I missed this party! It looks so cute! I love the dog food dishes. What a fun idea!
Thanks! We missed having you there. The kids enjoyed themselves!
Super fun!
Thanks! It was fun!
