Hi everyone! My baby girl is 3 months old, will be 4 months old on July 18 and I can’t fit ANY of my pants/capris/shorts. 😦 I thought I lost baby weight faster than this with my son. I can’t remember much about the first year with my son. That’s terrible. I’m either getting old or I have a bad memory. I’m going to say I have a bad memory. 🙂 My husband has suggested that I buy new clothes. I said NOOOOOOO!! I don’t plan on being this size forever. My pre-pregnancy clothes are motivation for me to lose weight. I would like to get maybe 2 pairs of shorts for me to wear now but I won’t be getting an entirely new wardrobe.
I’ve always wanted to be a jogger. Some people think I jog just by looking at me. I’m not sure how I look that gives them that idea. So, in an attempt to lose weight and to become a jogger, a couple weeks ago I started using the app Couch to 5K (C25K). I really like this app and I would recommend it to anyone who is just starting out jogging. Each week the amount of time that you jog is increased. You walk for one minute, jog for one minute, etc. I just finished my week where I walked for two minutes and jogged for 90 seconds. You alternate walking and jogging for a total of 30 minutes. You have a 5 minute warm-up and a 5 minute cool down. The program is 8 weeks long and by the 8th week, you will be running the entire 30 minutes.
Sometimes I feel like I’m not going to lose the weight as fast as I want because I am CONSTANTLY snacking. It’s healthy snacks such as fruit and nuts. I snack because I’m breastfeeding my daughter and I want to make sure she gets the nutrient she needs. I drink a TON of water. Maybe things will balance out with my exercise and healthy eating. We’ll see. I’ll keep you posted. Everything will be JUST fine!
