A lot of folks think that my son, Bryce looks like me. So mini me and I like to bake together. He loves standing in his learning tower and helping me out. When we’re mixing the ingredients in the bowl he says “mix a mix a mix”. 🙂 Recently we have baked breakfast cookies, dairy free cupcakes and dairy free chocolate chip cookies.
We make the breakfast cookies on the regular and they always turn out yummy. We baked dairy free cupcakes for his birthday, April 3. It was our first time making them and they……………didn’t taste like regular cupcakes. lol We also made dairy free icing for them. We’ll have to find another dairy free cake recipe because I wasn’t a fan. Bryce liked them though. I was surprised he even ate any because he is so picky. (Just like his Mommy) Also, it was our first time making the dairy-free chocolate chip cookies. They didn’t look ANYTHING like the recipe picture. :-/ They didn’t flatten out and they were hard balls by the end of the day. My sister helped us and she was trying to make me feel better even though I wasn’t satisfied with the results. Will be looking for a new recipe for those also.
Not only do I let Bryce help me with baking. I let him help fix his meals. Seems like when he fixes his plate he eats all his food. Yes, as some moms, I have trouble getting my toddler to eat and it can be frustrating. Since I discovered if he makes his plate he eats more, I’m all for it!
We always have fun baking together. We make a mess, laugh and clean up together! I love baking with my Mini Me!
