This section of my blog, Just Yolo, is for you to get to know me better. I’m going to share with you with my top 5 pet peeves. I’ll start with the least annoying thing and end with my top. Here we go!
5. Having the TV too loud that you can’t hear each other talk
I’m a stay at home mom of a 5-year-old and 3-year-old. I hear noise (sometimes loud noise) all day, everyday. So when we sit down to watch TV I don’t want it loud where we can’t hear each other or it’s hurting my ears. I don’t talk often when watching TV with my husband (think that’s annoying with others do it. lol) but if we are all watching a movie together as a family I know the kids are going to ask for something and I don’t want us yelling. Yelling over the TV, NO. Just turn the thing down.
4. Air conditioner too low during the day that I need long sleeves on in the house
I enjoy A/C! Thank God for A/C here in FL with all our HOT days! We turn the A/C down at night so we can get nice and cozy under the covers but during the day I do not want to be walking around in long sleeves and pants then have to change when I go outside. My husband tries to be sneaky on the weekends and turn the A/C down during the day. lol I always notice right away. If we’re in for the day I go put on my sweats and long sleeves and let him win. I guess I can be nice and let him win 2 out of 7 days. Sometimes. lol
3. Not putting clothes in the dirty clothes hamper
I’m about to pick on my husband a little. If you’re married, I’m sure that some of you deal with this as well. My husband will take off his clothes for the day and throw them RIGHT NEXT TO the dirty clothes hamper. UGGGHHH I think this annoys me so much because I’m a little OCD. I’m always like, “Put stuff where it belongs MAN!” Sometimes by kids even do it because they are so excited to get in the bathtub and play. I stop them right in their little happy tracks and make them go back and put their clothes in their hamper. I’m going to make sure I teach them this while they are young so they don’t annoy their spouses one day.
2. People not using the car turn signal
This one is dangerous. It’s also very simple. Use your turn signal when you are switching lanes or you plan to turn. I can’t read your mind. Don’t get mad at me when I cut you off (unintentionally) or didn’t know you wanted to get in my lane because you DIDN’T HAVE ON YOUR TURN SIGNAL. I’ve seen so many accidents almost happen because people don’t use their turn signal. Just the other day a car was holding up one lane because it wanted to get in another lane but didn’t have on its turn signal. The cars in the lane it wanted to get in kept going because they didn’t know. Finally the car jumped someone and made all of us have to slam on breaks. Please use your turn signal!!
1. Smacking when chewing gum or eating
OH MY WORD!! THIS IS SO DISGUSTING TO ME!! lol I can’t stand it! I think my skin crawls when I hear people smacking. lol I think it goes back to manners that your parents taught you when you were younger. “Chew with your mouth close.” “Don’t smack.” I’m DEFINITELY teaching my kids not to smack!
Hopefully some of these made you laugh. You got to me in my brain a little and see what I think.
So tell me, can you relate? Do any of these things annoy you? If not, share with me your pet peeves.
